About the event

Yay, it's time for another!!!

For this gathering, we will be learning “How to Be a Better…” (boss, employee, vendor, etc) which will be led by one of our fabulous locals, Genece Minshew.

This presentation is a wonderful way to see what tools you need in place to be a better (let's face it, you are already great!) boss. Even if it is just YOU at your business for now, there are pieces to have in place to ensure your continued success and prepare you in case you DO become a boss to others. Also, we will look at how to be better with customers and the vendors that help support your business.

Along with this, we will also be mixing and mingling, enjoying delicious hors d’oeuvres and beverages from the Story & Song Bistro and wrapping up with an open forum and plans for our next soiree.

Be sure to save your spot as you won't want to miss! Cost is $30 per person. Registration required. Space is limited.

We cannot wait to see you and keep building our community!

About our speaker Genece Minshew:

Genece Minshew, longtime resident of Amelia Island really has done it ALL. She worked over 40 years at BellSouth as an executive in all phases of Customer Operations, Customer Relationship Management, Product Management, and Field Operations and has valuable insight into the ins and outs of running (and bossing for) a business.

She transitioned out of the corporate world by going into consulting along with furthering her lifelong passion of volunteering and activism. Early in her life she started with the Jacksonville National Organization For Women and then the Florida National Organization For Women and has lent her time and knowledge to other non-profits such as Barnabas, our local Soup Train (where we first met), the Coalition for the Homeless and Fernandina Beach Pride, which she founded.

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Genece for over nine years, ever since she roped me into captaining a baking group while I was newly pregnant with my daughter.  Her dedication is contagious! She is smart, tenacious, fearless and has the best interests of her counterparts and community at heart. It'll be an informative and fun time!
